Different types of programmes - UNIT 14

Talk/Music

For capital FM they only have small talk introduction and introduce the artist and the song that they will be playing on capital FM, they add humour to make sure that the target audience are not getting bored of them talking. The reason they play songs and music is to keep the audience entertained when they are either driving or working to go to work. The type of programme capital FM is extraordinary. The reason the programme is extraordinary is because the target audience can listen to the music without having to create a playlist since the radio will play different songs, the kind of music they will play is mainstream/popular.

Sport

BBC Sport 5 live talks about sport that is relevant they inform the target audience about situations. BBC sport 5 the host would interview the players they are talking about. This is beacuse they discuss the highlights of football and other sports, this radio program  sports fans. If someone enjoys sports but missed a football game and wants to know what happened during play, they can just easily go watch the recap of the highlights. 

Current Events

They talk about current events on BBC news like things that are happening in the world and raising people's awareness of what is going on in the world. For instance, on BBC news they have information about Palestine and Iseral and how they are getting bombed and which causing a lot of people to lose their homes. BBC is unique programme since it allows people around the world to be informed on what's going on in the world and being aware which is helpful for the audience since they get to know detail about little things that are important.

Lifestyle

On BBC radio 4 they have a programme called "You and Yours" where they talk about different topics which depend on what programme is on. All of the episodes are different due to different topics being talked about on the programme. The structure of the programme is different since there is not one person perspective on the topic because the shows would usually just have one host or multiple speakers talking about one topic.   

Programme Analysis - UNIT 14 & UNIT 16

English Rose – Limelight

1) The radio station I picked was English Rose-Limelight. This is the radio station I will look into. This radio station runs on BBC news every Friday. English Rose only has two series, A  fact about this is that all episodes are approximately 30 mins long unless there is an important announcement which takes about 2 mins. The audience is mainly subjected for pupils that act shadowy, and like acting. This also shows how pupils can also be comfortable within their own environment; hence we discovered a series for young people to enjoy. However this programme can only be watched on the BBC radio app which the target audience can install. However they can also just watch it on the BBC radio website.

2) The host introducing BBC Radio 4 on the channel and the show forms the general structure of the channel. The news reporter then proceeds to, report on the dead corpse and victims (her victims) next to various highways and locations that she has taken her victims to. This then takes us into her daily English roses, phone calls, and hear ability to hear her thoughts and conversations with coworkers and friends. English rose the speaks about her "mind wonders" and strives to keep herself from becoming hungry by simply avoiding humans. She speaks to the audience indirectly with the thoughts and knowledge she has on other people as well as her own. She also expresses her desires regarding her nagging and thoughts she has to her self that she wouldn't tell anyone these thoughts are things done without thinking about it. 

3) This series is made to educate and entertain the audience only. The first educational information we see when English rose address how she is tried and sick of men and how the male gaze theory works. She briefly discusses her ideas with the target audience at the 6:50 mark in the first clip. ( "he examines me in the mirror with a concentrated gaze I've seen many times, it says I see your athletic form as an insult and I will gobble you up, given half the chance" ). She covers most aspects of when it comes to men's behaviour towards women  how they speak to them. This is only the beginning.  It teaches the boys how they will learn how certain things they say or how they treat women  can effect them, changing how they act and what not to do now or even in the future, this is educational not only for women but also for younger generations and men. Furthermore, the dark mysterious vampire are shown. At 13:30 "wow no okay, maybe the straightforward northern approach isn't going to work with these people" .  I choose this radio station because i enjoy watching mystery genre stuff i also like vampire stuff a lot because it connotes into something that's not real.
